We did it! Thank you!

A big thank you to everyone for pulling off a successful 2008 race season!

After ten years since last hosting a World Cup event in Whistler, we (the Whistler Alpine volunteer team) pulled off a world-class event proving that we’re ready to take on hosting the world in 2010.

FIS (Federation Internationale de Ski) race directors, the athletes and the local organizers raved about the course.  Ken Read, CEO of Alpine Canada stated "FIS is really pleased with what has been done. At the fall meetings, Guenter Hujara (FIS World Cup men's director) said he'd never seen an organizing committee, world championships or Olympics, with such good tracks and ready so early."  The event also attracted over 200 accredited media from around the world, 800 plus volunteers and several thousand spectators – all reveling from their great World Cup experience and a taste of what’s to come in 2010.  Kudos team!  Be sure to give yourself a pat on the back and celebrate your success with others!

Volunteer experience survey

We need your feedback! We are always looking for ways to improve the volunteer experience for you and future volunteers.  We ask that you take a few moments to reflect on your volunteer experience and share your thoughts with us by completing the Volunteer Experience Survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=i9sR7B_2fxCtbMXsgj9PbQtQ_3d_3d. The survey closes April 14, 2008 and will take approximately ten minutes to complete. Your participation is completely anonymous. All participants will be entered into a draw for a chance to win an Alpine World Cup prize. Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey. A summary of the survey results will be posted on this website at the end of April.
