Do your part and help protect our planet
If you are planning to drive to Whistler, we strongly encourage you to carpool (vehicles carrying three people minimum). By carpooling, you contribute to reducing vehicle emissions and make it less frustrating for yourself and other volunteers to access very limited parking.
By Car — Sea-to-Sky Highway (Hwy 99)
Most volunteers travel to Whistler by car on the Sea-to-Sky Highway that connects Vancouver to Whistler through West Vancouver, Horseshoe Bay and Squamish. This is one of the most scenic drives in North America.
Volunteers arriving by air at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) may rent a car or use one of the many transportation services available to Whistler.

With the Sea-to-Sky Highway undergoing extensive upgrades well into 2009 in preparation for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, closure of road sections should be expected. It is recommended that you check the Road Closure and Delay Information before traveling to Whistler. A web cam view of parts of the highway is also available. Points of interest on the Sea-to-Sky Highway include Horseshoe Bay, Porteau Cove, the BC Museum of Mining, the Stawamus Chief, Shannon Falls, Squamish, West Coast Railway Heritage Park and the Tantalus Range lookout.
